Join us at Jackson Hall in East Islip to celebrate the spirit and legacy of Jose Luis Kortright as it lives on through the mission of the Kortright Kares Foundation.
NY Mets Opening Day has been a tradition for many years in our family. Since our dad passed in September 2014, we celebrated his birthday and Opening Day. In 2015, opening day was on April 13th, my dad's birthday. So every year that followed, The Kortright family decided to continue the opening day /celebration tradition of my dad's birthday. Instead of going to the game, we thought it would be great to get family and friends together to watch the game and enjoy our time together.
My dad's spirit continues to help bring us all together and continue to build lasting memories. This year, we will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Kortright Kares Foundation. Please join us in the grand celebration as we embark on another milestone. We hope all of you can make it, even if it's for one inning.

Easter Egg Hunt!
Kortright Kares Foundation partners with the Suffolk County 5th Precinct to provide a safe Easter Egg Hunt for the community. Crafts and refreshments will be provided along with an Easter egg hunt!

Earth Day
Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat event in partnership with Ken Kortright Agency State Farm and the Suffolk County 5th Precinct provides a safe Halloween event for the Community. Local business’ will participate by bringing a decorated vehicle and distribute goodies to children. Event theme will be Friday the 13th, so feel free to dress on theme or come in the Halloween costume of your choice!
